Quiet and Accurate linear motion
Trickline boasts 150lbs of line pull and the integral linear bearing is rated for 150lbs of dynamic load.
That’s enough power to actuate a 4ft x 8ft trap door or sunroof. Or use it as a counterweight assist device and make a draw bridge or murphy bed pivot into position.
Trickline runs at a brisk 15 in/sec at 60Hz (30 in/sec oversped). Custom motor options are available. Fast enough for an automated prop or piece of scenery to keep pace with an actor.
Mary Poppins can have a bit more magic in her bag when all the furniture is rigged to Tricklines to move “by itself”.
Safe & Easy
Trickline integrates with the Showstopper 3 system to ensure that all effects can be halted in an instant if problems arise. Running a linear actuator with an electric motor eliminates the hassle of running hydraulics and offers better control than pneumatics.
Just as important as emergency stopping is the Trickline’s accurate and repeatable movement. Whether its curtains or beefier scenery, Trickline can hit its mark within a fraction of an inch every time.
Plug and Play
Set up is painless and simple. Trickline comes pre-wired to connect to our 1-2hp Stagehand Apprentice, so you can start writing cues quickly.
The body of the Trickline can be mounted in almost any orientation. The moving head is attached to the scenery to drive the motion.
All can be set up and ready to move in a couple of hours or less.
