Spin & Pivot

Elegantly simple. Infinitely useful. Scenery fabricators have another tool for the most popular automated movement on stage.

Rotator produces two unique style of motion: spin a platform like a turntable (spinning around the center point) or pivot a platform with the point of rotation off center.

Rotator is perfect for donut turntables (the center is spun by the Rotator while the outside ring is spun by a Revolver). Or use it to “jack knife” platforms and swing them into place .

Direct Drive

Attach your scenery directly to the Rotator’s mounting plate. It’s a perfect center pivot for your turntable. Bolt it to your “wheels up” turntable and start spinning. Or attach to the frame of a wall or flat and use it like a hinge. Now your wall can rotate from the corner with ease.

No slipping, no tensioning, just precise rotation up to nearly 1.5 RPM.

Easy To Hide

At less than 9 inches high the Rotator is easy to squeeze beneath your show deck or build into scenery. With only two cables needed for power and data, set up is quick.

Anchor the Rotator with bolts directly to your subfloor (adding shims to get it perfectly level). A grid of holes are machined into the bottom of the frame ensuring you can position a bolt exactly where you need it for secure smooth spinning.

Torque To Move You

Rotator is capable of supporting 10,000 lbs axially – the weight that can be supported by the machine itself. It can produce a maximum continuous torque of 8140 ft-lbs.

That translates to 2190 lbs of supported load rotating 5′ from center or 1095 lbs rotating 10′ from center.
